A good consultation does most of the work. It is where we listen carefully, ask the right medical questions, and build a plan that matches your life.

Why the consultation matters

The consultation is the foundation of safe, effective cosmetic care. It lets us evaluate medical history, skin type, prior treatments, and personal goals before recommending anything.

What to bring

Current skincare products, a current medication list, a current supplement list, notes on prior procedures, recent photos if helpful, and your goals or timeline. The more we know, the more personalized the plan.

What to share about your medical history

Allergies, autoimmune conditions, thyroid history, hormonal patterns, pregnancy or nursing status, and any recent illnesses or procedures. Everything you share is relevant to the safety and design of the plan.

What to share about your skincare routine

Cleansers, retinoids, exfoliants, sunscreen, and any actives. We may adjust the routine to prepare the skin for upcoming treatments or to support healing afterward.

How we discuss goals and timelines

We discuss what you want to feel like, not just what you want to look like, and the realistic timeline to get there. Major events, travel, and downtime all factor in.

How PBCM builds a treatment plan

A plan may include in-office treatments, professional skincare, and where appropriate, internal wellness support through VitellaMD. The plan is staged so the skin has time to respond and we have time to reassess.

Questions to ask during your visit

Ask about the rationale, the expected timeline, what could be adjusted, and what realistic outcomes look like. There are no bad questions in a consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to my first consultation?
Bring your current skincare products, your medication list, your supplement list, notes on prior procedures, and your goals. Recent photos can be helpful. The more context we have, the more personalized the plan.
Should I bring my skincare products?
Yes, when possible. Seeing your actual routine helps us understand what is working, what may need to change, and how to prepare your skin for any upcoming treatments.
Should I mention supplements and medications?
Always. Supplements and medications can influence skin behavior, healing, sun sensitivity, and procedure safety. Full disclosure helps us build a plan that is safe and appropriate.
Will I receive treatment the same day?
Sometimes, depending on the recommended care and your readiness. Many patients prefer to absorb the plan first and schedule treatment afterward. Either approach is welcome.
How does PBCM create a protocol?
We consider your medical history, skin condition, goals, and lifestyle. The plan may include in-office treatments, professional skincare, and where appropriate, internal wellness support, staged thoughtfully over time.
