What it is.

Under-eye PRP places a concentrated preparation of your own platelets into the thin skin beneath the eyes. It is used to support skin quality and the look of crepiness and tired-looking skin. Aesthetic use of PRP is off-label under the practice of medicine, and results vary.

A neutrophil-poor preparation.

Your PRP is prepared on the EmCyte PurePRP system. For the delicate under-eye area, Dr. Frisch uses a neutrophil-poor preparation, which reduces the white blood cells in the sample and is intended to keep the treatment gentle on thin skin.

Who performs it.

Dr. Frisch performs every under-eye PRP injection. The physician who reviews your history is the physician who injects.

Candidacy.

Good candidates have mild under-eye skin thinning or crepiness and realistic expectations. PRP does not replace surgery and does not add volume like a filler. Bleeding disorders, certain medications and active infection are reviewed at consultation.

A series, not a single visit.

Most patients plan a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart, followed by maintenance. Dr. Frisch sets your plan from how your skin responds.
